Community Action of Southern Indiana (CASI), Inc. has successfully managed its Head Start program for over 46 years and its Early Head Start program since 2010 in Clark County and is currently funded to serve 60 infants and toddlers birth through three, and 12 prenatal mothers in our Early Head Start Home-base program option. Funded enrollment for our Head Start program is 290 for children three to five years of age.
We have four centers located in the Clark County service area:
We provide four program options:
- Morning classes (8:00 to 11:30am)
- Afternoon classes (12:30 to 4:00pm)
- Full-day (8:30 to 3:30pm)
- EHS (Home-based) includes prenatal and birth
This is to better meet the needs of the children and families. Families must meet certain criteria to enroll in Head Start, (see enrollment) and there is no cost to the families.
Our goal is to deliver high-quality early education services that put infants, toddlers and children on a pathway to school success with the assistance of parents, families and our local community partners. CASI understands that parents are the first and most important teachers of their children and welcomes parental involvement in all areas of the program. Together we can promote a healthy and successful start to life-long learning.
